Food & Typical Menu
All
the meals at the ski chalet are produced by our chef, who
is inspired to create excellent cuisine using the
finest, freshest locally bought ingredients. Throughout your ski
holiday the menu will have a typically French flavour - after all,
we are in France. Our chef is in his element choosing the best ingredients,
from the local markets, and creating meals that will tantalise your
taste buds and satisfy your desire for good wholesome, nutritional
food.
This, together with a splendidly set table and discrete but attentive
service, will ensure that you look forward to each meal. Remember,
we are always happy to discuss specific dietary requirements and
requests for particular favourites.
What
better way to start your day than with a steaming pot of tea or
aromatic coffee served to your room (or left outside your door,
if you prefer) Check out the views from your bedroom window...stunning!
For breakfast we offer a selection of fresh fruits, cereals, croissants
and pastries (freshly baked in-house), breads, locally produced
confitures and honey. A daily hot option is always available for
example, either kedgeree, omelette, or bacon & eggs. Fresh coffee
and tea, together with fruit juices are plentiful. There is no way
we will let you leave for a day on the slopes hungry.
Of course, if you like to lunch at one of the many high quality
mountain restaurants, we can make a reservation for you (particularly
recommended for large groups in high season).
When you finish skiing head back to your ski accommodation, Chalet
Chovettaz, for tea where a selection of hot drinks and plates laden
with cakes and delicious freshly made confections will await you.
We particularly enjoy special occasions and are delighted to provide
birthday or anniversary cakes.
Guests
will gather by the fire for a pre-dinner drink and canapés
about 7.30pm (or at a time of your choice for whole chalet bookings).
On six evenings a delicious three course dinner is served which may include a selection of local cheeses and our specially chosen house wines. With starry moonlit mountain
views from the dining room, each evening will be a true delight
in the company of friends.
