
The apartment is in a private block, 10 minutes walk from the village centre but with a ski-bus stop close by. The apartment consists of sitting area/dinette/kitchenette, with spacious mezzanine sleeping level, small bunk room and bathroom with shower over. Outside there is a sunny west facing balcony and allocated parking space.
The apartment is on the first floor of a two storey block.
Upon entering the apartment the sitting room/kitchenette/dining area is directly ahead. To the left is the bathroom and to the right is the bunk room. Stairs from the kitchenette area rise to the open mezzanine level which has 3 single beds. Two of these beds can be linked together to make a superking double.
Full size bath with shower over, sink with cupboard under and large mirror, toilet and electric radiator.
Clothes drying line over the bath.
Three seater sofa, 2 folding directors chairs, corner cabinet, sideboard unit, TV and DVD player, electric radiator.
Extendable dining table with 4 chairs – there are additional folding chairs which can be used at table.
With 2 ring hob, microwave/conventional oven, sink, fridge and lots of cupboard space. Sufficient pots, pans, dishes and cooking utensils. Coffee machine, toaster, etc.
Glass doors lead onto a west facing balcony with table and chairs.
Contains bunk beds with storage drawers below and an electric radiator. There is a window facing north with wooden shutter.
Mezzanine Level Accessed via staircase over the kitchenette this level has 3 single beds, two of which can be joined to make a superking double. The third single bed provides an additional seating area with coffee table.
There is a wardrobe, airing cupboard, storage under the eaves, plus small sink with light and mirrored cupboard over.
There are windows facing west.
The apartment is totally electric.
The heating is individual radiators throughout. Hot water is provided by the boiler in the mezzanine level and is sufficient for normal use – we’ve never had any complaints about it running out. There is low powered (anti freeze) under floor heating which is centrally operated for the whole block.
There is a lockable ski storage locker on the ground floor level of the block.
There is an allocated car parking slot, for one vehicle, immediately in front of the apartment. Additional vehicles may be parked on the roadside.
The apartment is cleaned before and after your stay. We charge 20€ per person for the provision of linen and towels. Linen is 1 sheet, 1 duvet cover and 1 pillowcase per bed, bath towel, hand towel and bath mats. If you use our service then the beds will be made up prior to your arrival. Otherwise the double bed is a super king with a king-size duvet. All other beds are single size.
There is a regular ski bus which operates between the main lift station (Le Lay) and the apartment block. The journey takes 5 minutes and is free of charge.
We can provide advice and book ski school on your behalf. Your tickets will be waiting for you on arrival.
We can pre-purchase ski passes for you or we can advise on which passes might be best for you. There is a huge choice available.
If you would like to buy your own then these can be done online at www.lescontamines.net. Please allow plenty of time for them to arrive in the post.
We have negotiated a discounted rate for our clients with our nearest ski rental shop, Mermoud Sports, which is between the apartment and the slopes. We can reserve ski equipment for clients which is especially useful during peak weeks.
We can pre-purchase essentials for you so that they are in the apartment on arrival. We charge for these at cost – the receipt will be left with your shopping. There is usually a stock of basics in the apartment – tea bags, sugar, salt and pepper, cooking oil, etc.
With the exception of welcome packs, all additional services need to be paid for 28 days before the start of your holiday.
The village centre is a 10 minute walk along a floodlit path (the first 100 yards is on the road) where there is a selection of cafes, bars and supermarkets.
10 minutes up the road from the chalet there are 2 pizzerias both of which also serve traditional local dishes. The Totem offers a variety of Mexican inspired dishes whilst L’Air Du Temps (the closer one) has a selection of steak and fish dishes.
Rental is normally Saturday to Saturday, but we can be flexible for shorter bookings.
